About this template
This free invoice template produces a polished, itemised invoice you can download as a PDF and send straight to a client. Fill in your details and line items in the form above and the invoice is generated entirely in your browser — nothing is uploaded, so it works offline and keeps your client data private.
It calculates subtotals, tax and the final total automatically from the line items you enter, so the maths is always right. Use it for freelance work, consulting, design, contracting or any service where you need to bill by the hour or by deliverable.
When to use this invoice template
Reach for it whenever you need to bill a client and want something that looks more deliberate than a spreadsheet email. It suits single freelancers and small teams alike, and because the output is a standard PDF, your client can open it on any device without formatting breaking.
How the line items work
Enter one item per line in the format Description | Qty | Price. The template multiplies quantity by price for each row, sums the subtotal, applies the tax rate you set, and prints the grand total. Leave the tax rate at 0 for tax-free invoices.
Making it look like yours
Your business name, your name and email appear in the header. Add payment terms and bank or transfer instructions in the notes field so the invoice is actionable the moment it lands.
Invoice Template — frequently asked questions
Is this invoice template really free?
Yes. Generate and download as many invoices as you like, with no account and no watermark. The PDF is created in your browser, so there is no server processing your client data.
Can I add my logo?
This template uses clean typographic branding rather than a logo to stay universal. If you need a branded invoice with your logo baked in, the Invoice tool lets you customise the look and then download.
Does it calculate tax automatically?
Yes. Set the tax rate as a percentage and the template applies it to the subtotal, showing the tax line and final total. Set it to 0 if your invoice has no tax.
What currency does it support?
Enter any currency symbol in the currency field — $, £, €, R, ₹, ¥ and so on. It is prepended to every amount on the invoice.
