Most PDF services price on a per-seat licence and then meter almost everything behind it. We took a different route because the majority of PDF work is bursty: you need nothing for three weeks, then you need to merge, compress and sign forty documents in one afternoon. A plan that punishes that afternoon is the wrong plan.

So the free tier is a real working tier, not a demo. Every essential tool — merge, split, compress, rotate, crop, watermark, page numbers, JPG to PDF, PDF to JPG, form filling and signing — runs in your browser without an account, with a fair-use ceiling of 10 documents a day. Nothing is watermarked, nothing is downgraded in quality, and there is no forced sign-up before you can see the output.

Premium exists for the two things that genuinely cost us money: large-scale AI inference and server-side rendering. Summarising a 300-page report, translating a contract while preserving structure, narrating a document, running clause-level contract analysis and rendering Office files with correct fonts all consume compute we pay for per request. Charging for those and giving the rest away is the only version of this business that is honest about its own cost structure.

Unlimited means no per-document counters and no credit packs to top up. It does not mean an uncapped firehose for automated scripts: we apply reasonable abuse protection against traffic that is clearly not a human working through documents. In practice, no ordinary professional workload has come close to that line. If yours does, tell us what you are doing and we will work out a sensible arrangement rather than silently throttling you.
